How Telecare can help keep you safe

Posted: 22 June 2020 · Practice news

Community alarm and telecare cover a range of devices and services that use technology to keep you safe in your own home and help you to maintain your independence.

Community Alarm, a simple technology that links you to an urgent response call centre that provides help 24/7 to people of all ages, and Telecare, the name given to a range of additional equipment that can alert you when something needs your attention, or alerts others to assist you when you need it, cover a range of devices and services that use technology to keep you safe in your own home and help you to maintain your independence.

If you think you, or a relative, neighbour or friend may benefit from and be eligible for a community alarm and/or telecare, you can apply by making a referral direct to Angus Health & Social Care Partnership.

You can find out more on the Angus Health & Social Care website, which includes an interactive guide to the different technology available.
