Advice for After your Covid-19 Vaccination

Posted: 19 January 2021 · Practice news

The practice is giving the following advice to patients who receive their Covid-19 vaccination.

When you leave the surgery following your vaccination, if you have travelled here in a car please wait in your vehicle outside of the surgery for 15 minutes before driving off.

You cannot catch Covid-19 from the vaccine but it is possible to have caught Covid-19 and not realise you have the symptoms until after your vaccination appointment.

It's not known whether having the vaccine stops you spreading the virus to others so it’s important that we all continue to follow the latest government advice.

After you get the vaccine, it’s still important to follow FACTS:

  • FACE COVERINGS
  • AVOID CROWDS
  • CLEAN HANDS
  • TWO METRES
  • SELF-ISOLATE

Please remember you don't need to contact the surgery to request a vaccination - we will get in touch with you to ensure we can get you booked in at the right time.
