Job Vacancy: Nurse Practitioner
Contract type: Permanant; Salary: £38,000.00 - £43,000.00 per year
Academy Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive team in Forfar. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player working closely with the existing GP, ANP and nurse practitioner team.
If you are an experienced nurse practitioner you should have the ability to work autonomously and facilitate a person-centred focus and provide safe, effective evidence-based care.
Role Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and formulate treatment plans for acute/chronic illnesses and minor illness in primary care.
- Manage prescriptions, results and referrals.
- Coordinate patient care and prescribe relevant treatments.
- Educate patients on preventative healthcare measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up to date medical records.
Essential Requirements
- Previous General Practice experience.
- Experience in Minor Illness Treatment.
- Registered non medical prescriber.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task in a busy changing environment.
- Knowledge and experience of chronic disease management.
The role will be wide ranging and you may be expected to perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organisation.
